The purpose of this program is to provide financial support to faculty to initiate research, creative and scholarly activity. These awards are not Study Leaves, and as such are not awarded with time-off to conduct the proposed research.

Study Leave for Tenured Faculty (PDF)
The purpose of this program is to provide paid temporary leave for the support of advancing scholarly research, teaching, and/or creative activity, including development of innovative teaching approaches and methods.

Each year, Mason selects three faculty members who show exceptional promise in their disciplines to receive the Mason Emerging Researcher, Scholar, Creator Award.
