Confined Space Program

TheConfined Space Program establishes practices and precautionary procedures that must be implemented to protect George Mason University employees and contract personnel working on George Mason University property from the hazards associated with working within permit and non-permit required confined spaces.   A confined space is define as a space that is large enough that an employee can enter and perform assigned work, has limited or restricted means for entry or exit, and is not designed for continuous occupancy.   A permit required confined space has additional hazards such as a hazardous atmosphere or physical hazards.
